Speech-language studio

Speech therapy for children, teens, and adults.

Speech sounds, language, stuttering, and voice. One clear target at a time, with practice short enough for a real week.

What we can work on

Bring the worry in plain language. We’ll turn it into a target you can actually practice — at the table, and then out in the day.

01

Speech sounds

The sounds that didn’t settle — /r/, /s/, /l/, blends — including therapy that stalled halfway.

School-age children and teens

02

Early language

Late talkers, first sentences, and the words a family can model between snacks, baths, and bedtime.

Toddlers and preschoolers, with their adults

03

Language and literacy

Word finding, grammar, stories with a middle, and reading that can keep up with the rest of the class.

Children and teens in school

04

Stuttering

Support that protects ease and the choice to stay in the conversation — at home, in class, and at work.

Children, teens, and adults

05

Voice

Strain, vocal fatigue, and the professional voice that has to last until the end of the day.

Teens and adults who talk for a living

06

Social communication

Conversation skills for autistic and neurodivergent clients, built around their goals — not someone else’s script.

Clients who want in, on their terms

Who comes in

The room changes with the person. The standard of care does not.

Children

Play is the method, not a distraction.

Late talkers, hard-to-understand speech, and language that isn’t keeping up. Caregivers stay in the picture and leave knowing what to model tonight.

Teens

Goals they actually agree to.

Sounds that still snag, stories that stall, and the social cost of both. Direct, specific, and never performed for a grade.

Adults

A voice you want to keep.

Stuttering, vocal fatigue, word finding, presentations, and accent work you choose for yourself.

How it starts

The first visit is an assessment. Goals and therapy come after that.

  1. 01

    An assessment

History, observation, and testing where it’s needed. We look at speech, language, voice, or fluency before any goal is set.

  2. 02

    Goals from the findings

We choose goals from what the assessment showed and from what you need to say, read, or get through in a real day.

  3. 03

    Therapy

Sessions work on those goals. Practice between visits stays short enough to fit the week.

How we choose goals

Goals come from the assessment, and from what you need to say.

The studio

Precise, and still human.

I’m Amira Solano. I keep Cadence small on purpose, so a plan can stay current and a session can still feel like a conversation.

You will talk, try, miss, and try a smaller version. Parents are part of the work. Adults set the pace. I won’t trade your ease, identity, or joy for a voice that only sounds “correct” in the room.

If you are comparing practices: I’ll tell you early when someone else is a better fit. Fees are shared in writing before the first session. Superbills are available if you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement.

What people say

Sample notes for this preview. Replace them with real quotes you have permission to use before you publish.

★★★★★

The assessment showed which sounds to work on. Practice at home is a few minutes, and her teacher noticed the difference that term.

Maya Parent · Speech sounds
★★★★★

We left the evaluation knowing what he understands and what to model between meals. Therapy started from those findings, not a guess.

Priya Parent · Early language
★★★★★

The goals were about staying in meetings, not forcing a perfectly fluent voice. That matched what I had asked for.

Daniel Adult · Stuttering

Before you write

Do we need a doctor’s referral?

No. You can book an assessment directly. A referral is welcome if you already have one.

What ages do you see?

Toddlers through adults. If a concern sits outside my scope — swallowing, for example — I’ll say so and help you find the right clinician.

Are sessions online or in person?

Both. Some goals, especially early language and young children’s speech sounds, are richer in the room. Voice, stuttering, and older students often do well on secure video. We’ll choose what fits after the assessment.

How soon will we notice a change?

It depends on the target. Some speech sounds shift with a few weeks of steady practice. Language and stuttering are often a longer arc. We’ll name what progress looks like after the assessment, before therapy starts.

Do you bill insurance?

Cadence is private pay. You’ll receive a superbill you can submit if your plan reimburses out-of-network speech therapy. Fees are in writing before you book a full session.
